I just gave a talk at Chirwell school in Oxford to Physcology A-level students on mental health. The main aim was to give first hand experience of what it is like to be mentally ill, the stigma that is often attached, and the rocky road of recovery. Also I tried to address the difference between mental health and mental illness... everyone has mental health, and should take care of it as they do physical health.
I played a few of my songs which were influenced by mental health related issues and also played Angry Sea Angry Me, by Mind in Kidlington.
If anyone is interested in a talk about mental health for their school please get in contact via the main website. Trev

Hi Trevor, It's Pam, the psychology teacher whose students you and Natasha came to speak to. The students found it so interesting. It's an excellent experience for them, both in terms of general mental health awareness, and in hepling them feel less alienated as they live with their own problems. Also a number of them may end up working as mental health professionals!! Please come and speak again!!!!!
