Walking, yes ... and doing the dishes ... you could put on some music and dance while doing the dishes!

My fitness plans haven't going so well either. Don't feel bad, Vix. don't feel bad.. i think it's the worst possible thing to do is beat yourself up.. (I do this a lot).. I think allowing yourself to have a treat every so often.. or to veg out sometimes as it were.. means you can do it more relaxed.. well that's what I'm telling myself after more natchos!! anyho.. keep going with it guys.. it's difficult but you can do it

No beating myself up about this. I just feel guilty when I don't take the time to exercise. But I do feel guilty after I eat something naughty. I've been kind of stressing out/feeling down about some things in life lately and often wonder if exercising helps ease my stress/worries any. I have yet to try that out.

I've also 'bumped' the tread about releving stress which you might find usefull.. as for eating naughty things.. I think we all do it, but it's the amount of times we do it vs. the amount of times we beat ourselves up for it... I was so tempted by the Kabab van tonight after my gig.. but I remember having one about a week ago.. so I didn't have one.. I guess the balence is the hardest thing to get right.. but hang in there xxx

Well then I had a terrible, stressful morning and I'm about to drive off to go belly dance ... I'm feeling a lot less stressed of course because I am not working right now, but I just ate some pizza and had a couple of beers ... guuuuiilllty! So I think the belly dancing will make me feel TONS better!
The balance is a very hard thing to get right ... but the best you can do is listen to yourself and keep trying! xxx

someone today said that I'd put on weight.. although I think it was more an observational thing rather than an insult.. in fact I'm sure of it.. I guess if one is self concious about something, rational comments can seem as though they are very intrusive and negative.. I haven't done much propper excersise since all my walking.. so I think I should def start that again soon...

I haven't been walking as much the last few days because the rain, but I did sign up for dance classes. They start on Monday. I'm really looking forward to it.

If you stick with it and practice practice practice and watch what you eat, then you'll be in shape in no time! I have to keep reminding myself that every single time I eat something bad, grrr. And I'm not dancing this week either.

Class was very fun. I can tell it'll be a workout! I also made myself go for a walk during my lunch break today at work. I wasn't very motivated to go, but once I was out, it felt really nice.

I agree with getting motivated to actually get up and exercise is the hardest part (as this was discussed previously), but once you get out and exercise, you feel sooooo much better. I'm glad your walk was nice! I should take advantage of walking on my lunch break, too. A bunch of guys here at work do that.

Did gym today, and squash and swim yesterday... I wreckon it's a second wind!!! how's everyone else doing?? still need to cut down on the fatty foods and beer though... actually does anyone know about carbohydrates?? are they more fattening.. I seem to eat loads of bread and cereal..

Man, if we lived closer to each other, I'd be your swimming partner. It's always best and more fun to exercise in partners! It just seems easier! Never walked once on my lunch break ... how's that?? lol I never think about bringing the proper shoes when I leave for work in the morning. I am proud to say that I went for about a two mile walk last Sunday and really liked it. I'd like to continue that. I have Friday off, so I can start then. I'm also going to clean that day, in which, the moving around will help. I should force myself to walk this weekend and see how "bad" it really is. I know it's not bad at all - I just have to get up and go - that's the hardest part of all!
